The Experience

Starting our journey along the shores of the massive Llanquihue Lake, we head to the ¨La Picada¨sector (1,100 meters above sea level). Here we begin a steady 400-meter ascent through a breathtaking landscape. The ¨Desolation Pass¨trail earns its name from its unique volcanic geography: the low-lying vegetation of lichens and alpine shrubs allows for unobstructed, horizon-stretching views.

We will hike around the volcano, escorted by the distant Tronador, Puntiagudo and Calbuco volcanoes, before descending toward the vibrant emerald waters of Todos Los Santos Lake.
